UNC Friday Center

The Friday Conference Center offers free accessible parking options in the visitor lot. If you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott, you are also welcome to walk over. It is important that you park on the south end of the Friday Center. DO NOT park where it says Friday Center Park and Ride Lot – you will be ticketed.

Closed captioning will be provided on screen and microphones will be used by speakers at every session. Disability seating will be offered at the front and back of Grumman Auditorium. All foods will be labeled for dietary restrictions.

Two gender-neutral bathrooms are located on the second floor for trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer students, staff, faculty, and guests. In addition, the Friday Conference Center has a lactation room available for nursing mothers. See map below that includes our first-floor restrooms.

Who Are Opportunity Youth?

Opportunity Youth are young adults ages 16 to 24 who are not enrolled in school and not working full or part time. These individuals are sometimes referred to as disconnected youth, however, at Carolina Across 100 we prefer “Opportunity Youth” because it captures our sense of optimism that all young people can thrive if we provide the systems, tools, and resources necessary for navigating this period of life.

Stories of Thriving from across North Carolina

Our hope is that, alongside our community teams, we can take these individual “stories of thriving” and create systems-level programming across the state that creates accessible on-ramps to education and employment.
